Viewing Gallery

Families are welcome to watch their children swim from the viewing gallery. However, we ask that you please exit the viewing gallery promptly at the end of the lesson to make space for the next group of spectators. Swim Time is not a drop off program. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children before and after their class.

Health & Hygiene

For the health and safety of all participants, anyone while is feeling unwell or had a contagious condition should not attend swim classes.

Payments

Swim Time requires a $100 nonrefundable deposit to hold your spot, this is paid upon registration. The remaining balance is due prior to the start of your first swim lesson. If you have a credit card on file, the balance will be automatically deducted.

IN HOME ONLY: Balance must be paid by e-transfer to outdoor@swim-time.com prior to the first lesson. If for any reason you give up your lessons prior to the start of the session, it will be a loss of deposit.

Closures

Swim Time will make its best effort to schedule a make-up class. However, in the event of closure for any reason including, but not limited to, inclement weather, an order of closure by a governmental authority, or mechanical issues Swim Time reserves the right to cancel classes without a make-up class, credit, or refund.

Cancellations

Cancellation prior to the start of a session results in a loss of deposit. Once the session begins all cancellations must be for medical reasons only & be submitted to the office in writing. There are NO REFUNDS. A credit for the remaining classes less a $50 cancellation fee will be applied to your Swim Time account. Credits are non-transferable.

Students that currently complete the last level of the dolphin program and pre-register for the next session have the flexibility to apply the deposit to an advanced course or keep it as a credit for future use. There are no refunds.

NSF

Any cheques that are declined due to NSF will be subject to a $25 NSF Fee.

Day Changes

A $35 change fee per child applies.

Make Up Classes

Each student is permitted one make-up per session. The make-up class can be booked after the regular scheduled class has officially been missed. Instructor requests for make-ups are not permitted. Absenteeism for any make-up will result in a lost class (there are no make-ups for a make-up). Make-up classes are not offered for the March Break program. Make-ups expire at the end of each session and are not carried over. Book your make-up within the Customer Portal or Swim Time App by going to account > student > make-up. There are no charges for a make-up. Please ensure you use your make-up token when booking your class.

IN HOME ONLY: Lessons will proceed as scheduled and will only be cancelled due to extreme conditions that affect safety—such as chemical imbalances, thunderstorms, or dangerous travel conditions.

If you need to cancel a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less notice will result in a forfeited class. One makeup lesson is allowed per session and will be held at a nearby indoor Swim Time location.

In the event of a weather advisory and Swim Time cancels the lesson, we will reschedule your class. Lessons will continue in light rain. If you choose to cancel in such weather, it will be treated as a missed class. If the weather changes suddenly during a lesson, the instructor may conduct a 10-minute safety session under shelter. If the weather improves, the lesson will resume; if not, any remaining time may be added to a future lesson where possible. If less than half the lesson is completed, a credit or makeup token will be issued. If more than half is completed, the class will be considered fulfilled.

At the end of summer, we’ll review all weather-related cancellations. We’ll do our best to offer makeups based on availability. Any credits will be applied to these sessions. If a makeup cannot be scheduled, the credit will remain on your account.
